The PackSynergy Group has developed a stretch film calculator app that allows the exact amount of film required for individual products and packages to be calculated.
The European network of medium-sized, owner-managed packaging retailers is thus taking the next step in the direction of Plastic reduction, sustainability and digital efficiency. With the app, the use of materials, CO2 pollution, plastic and costs can be reduced in a sustainable way - without compromising on protection and transport safety.
Calculator app calculates savings
The digital tool offers a choice of simplified or detailed input of all relevant project and material information and calculates the exact amount of stretch film required. It also the material and CO2 savings compared to alternative products of the competition. All results can be saved and sent directly to customers or partners.
For PackSynergy-CEO Thomas A. Baur, the new stretch app is an important step in the sustainability and digitalisation strategy of the group.

The app was developed as part of a PackSynergy working group in the area of „Knowledge Management“ under the project management of Mira Nägele (PackSynergy; Germany) and under the leadership of the member companies STOK Emballage (Denmark), Samuel Grant Packaging (UK), TEOL (Serbia) and SOMI (Lithuania).
The digital tool can be downloaded from the Apple and Google app stores. The Use after log-in is currently reserved for members and partners of the European network.
