With Perpetua, Constantia Flexibles presents a new packaging solution made of recyclable PP monomaterial, which is suitable for pharmaceutical products thanks to its good barrier properties.
The solution, which is now available worldwide, is the first from the packaging expert to be made from a recyclable polypropylene mono-material. It provides products with the best possible protection against oxygen, water vapour, light and heat.
This protection is particularly important for active pharmaceutical ingredients so that the effect of medicines is maintained.
The goal of Constantia Flexibles was to fulfil the high barrier requirements for pharmaceutical products and at the same time implement good sustainability standards. The result is a recyclable packaging solution based on a line of mono-polypropylene high-barrier laminates.

The flexible packaging solution can be customised depending on the application. As it is cyclos-HTP-certified, its recyclability is between 90 and 96 per cent, depending on the individual material specification.

The design possibilities of the packaging are not limited despite its high barrier properties and low ecological footprint.
