The Schur Flexibles Group remains on course for growth and acquires Sidac SpA, an Italian Producers of flexible packaging. The Schur Flexibles Group is thus further expanding its position in the Italian market.
The Sidac SpA based in Forli near Bologna, produces flexible packaging, primarily for the food, beverage, confectionery and pet food industries. The product range mainly comprises Complex laminates in rolls and for stand-up pouches in the ready-to-eat convenience and pet food segment. According to the company, this is a market segment that will continue to grow as a sustainable packaging alternative thanks to the reduction in material usage and high functionality. The Sidac SpA recently recorded has annual sales of around EUR 34 million and employs 120 people. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.

Sidac SpA's modern production site fits in with the company's sustainability strategy.
