IceCoat is a packaging solution that also functions as a mobile cool box: The packaging can be filled with tap water and frozen. This creates an ice coat inside that protects the goods inside and keeps them frozen for a long time.

Just in time for the start of summer: IceCoat is a convenience pack that cools its contents for several hours. It is easy to use. The box filled with drinks is bought at the supermarket, filled with water and frozen. A few hours later, the Cooling ice pack (IceCoat) and the quasi „mobile refrigerator“ is ready for use.

With Streiff & Helmold the aim was to combine a packaging experience with maximum sustainability. They therefore experimented with different papers and special varnishes - applied inside and out using the offset process. Ultimately, the solution was developed in cooperation with a coating manufacturer. It has a functional barrier and high resistance to moisture and humidity. With appropriate handling, the refrigerated packaging can also be reused become.
