This year, Gillette Venus wants to set an example for diversity by collaborating with personalities such as entertainer and LGBTQ activist Riccardo Simonetti. From July 2021, there will now be a special edition in a leopard print and sustainable cardboard packaging.
Aim of the Gillette Venus campaign is to share „inspiring stories of strong personalities who write their own rules“ in order to to break down outdated ideals of beauty. „Our common message is that everyone should feel comfortable in their own skin, regardless of what others expect,“ describes Riccardo Simonetti the collaboration with Gillette Venus. The leopard prints on the special edition handpiece of the new Comfortglide Coconut Special Edition are designed to bring an exotic touch to the bathroom. The integrated shaving gel pads create a Caribbean feeling, as they produce a coconut-scented lather without the need for additional shaving gel.
The Comfortglide Coconut Special Edition also aims to score points in terms of packaging: The box is plastic-free and Made from fully recyclable cardboard produced. Their inner tray is made of recyclable cellulose with 95 per cent recycled paper, and the packaging contains at least 37 per cent recycled paper. The cardboard and inner tray are FSC-certified.
