Theegarten-Pactec will be presenting newly developed packaging solutions at ProSweets 2022 in Cologne. The Dresden-based company is presenting its modular CHS high-performance packaging machine for chocolate products with the newly integrated letter folding packaging method for the first time.
The supplier fair ProSweets in Cologne is just around the corner. It is a must-attend event for all companies in the confectionery and snack industry and therefore the ideal platform for suppliers to present their products and solutions. Also Theegarten-Pactec, a manufacturer of packaging machines for small confectionery pieces, is also taking part.
The company will be presenting its latest customised solutions for the confectionery and snack industry. As a highlight at the trade fair, Theegarten-Pactec will be presenting the optimised CHS packaging machine for chocolate products in various folding types.
The CHS modular high-performance packaging machine was specially developed for the gentle packaging of chocolate products developed. In 2020, Theegarten-Pactec optimised the machine for the double twist wrap folding method, achieving an output of up to 1,800 products per minute. The machine has been undergoing industrial trials since March 2021.
Theegarten-Pactec is now demonstrating a prototype of the machine at the ProSweets trade fair stand with the newly integrated folding type letter folding. Small chocolate pralines are packaged at a speed of 800 products per minute. The Dresden-based innovation driver has set itself ambitious goals for the industrial trials scheduled for after the trade fair: the CHS is expected to achieve an output of 1,200 products per minute with a single-lane infeed and even 1,600 products per minute with a dual-lane infeed.
The CHS is particularly flexible in terms of the possible folding types. It can be converted to nine different folding types: double twist, protected twist, top twist, side twist, tin foil, bottom fold, side fold, Viennese fruit fold and now also letter fold. The machine allows quick changes of folding type and format within just four hours. Most of these can be carried out by just one employee. What should also please price-conscious customers: The required folding types are easy to retrofit - regardless of the original configuration of the CHS when purchased by the customer.
