At this year's Compamed, special machine manufacturer Koch Pac-Systeme presented the KBS-C medplus blister machine. The machine platform received the German Innovation Award in the Excellence in Business to Business category back in May. Koch's medical technology specialists were able to live up to the trade fair's motto „High-Tech Solutions for Medical Technology“.
Whether medical sterile goods, liquids, solids, implants, dental products or diagnostics: The KBS-C medplus stands for the further deepened expertise of the special machine manufacturer in this area and enriches the plus in the name with new, practical content. For the first time in Europe, visitors to Compamed were able to experience the machine and its highlights in live operation. The market launch of the KBS-C in 2019 coincided with the start of the COVID-19 pandemic and therefore mainly took place in digital formats. All the greater was the joy of the Cook trade fair teams that the important leading trade fair could take place in Düsseldorf this November.
At the trade fair stand, discussions were held with many international visitors. They were interested in the functionality and high variance of the KBS-C. The machine concept combines a large moulding area with the smallest machine dimensions, and a simple design with quick set-up enables alternating use in normal packaging areas and in cleanrooms up to ISO class 7.
Another tangible and important confirmation that Koch is on the right track with its current sustainability strategy is the increasing importance of sustainability in the medical sector. With intelligent, patented processes such as Smart Heating and Smart Sealing, KBS-C decisively fulfils sustainable requirements for reduced film consumption and perfectly formed blisters.
For 2022, the special machine manufacturer has set itself the goal of becoming even more present in the medical technology sector and is planning to expand the stand team. Markus Böhringer, Head of the division, summarises the company's participation in Compamed positively: “Despite the incipient restrictions due to COVID-19 the trade fair exceeded our expectations in every respect. The KBS-C medplus was a real highlight at our stand, and our visitors were delighted - we'll be back!“
