Marbach: XL protection plate with customisable height profile

With the DZL|plateXL, the cutting-die manufacturer Marbach presents a protective plate for large-format corrugated board die-cutting machines. Thanks to an individually printed height profile, the plate can be adapted to the conditions of the corresponding die-cutting machine.

With the DZL|plateXL, the cutting-die manufacturer Marbach presents a protective plate for large-format corrugated board die-cutting machines. Thanks to an individually printed height profile, the plate can be adapted to the conditions of the corresponding die-cutting machine.

Tolerances caused by unevenness in the die-cutting platen are part of everyday life for a packaging manufacturer. These are usually caused by wear and tear. As subtle as the differences in the crucible may be, their significance is just as great for quality and processing speed.

Explicitly for large-format corrugated board die-cutting machines

Ralf Nuyken, Industry Manager Corrugated Board at Marbach: „We have already successfully established our digital zone leveller DZL|plate for cardboard packaging machines on the market for several years. Now, with the DZL|plateXL a solution with a two-part protective plate explicitly for large-format corrugated board die-cutting machines developed.“

The two-part protective plate of the DZL|plateXL is customised with an imprinted height profile and is thus Adapted to the respective conditions of the punching machine. The DZL|plateXL thus permanently takes over the zone levelling of the machine by Height differences in the punching platen area compensated for. This ensures optimum pressure conditions during die-cutting and significantly reduces the make-ready times for each individual job.
