Schmalz takes over Binar Handling

The Schmalz Group is growing: Binar Handling now complements the Schmalz portfolio for ergonomic lifting solutions with its crane booms, balancers and various end effectors.

The vacuum specialist Schmalz is taking over the Swedish company Binar Handling AB and its four subsidiaries in Europe and Asia, thereby strengthening its market position in ergonomic handling technology. Binar Handling manufactures handling systems for loads weighing up to 600 kilograms.

With effect from 23 March, J. Schmalz GmbH has acquired Binar Handling AB together with its subsidiaries in China, Turkey, France and Germany. The Development and production company with headquarters in Trollhättan, Sweden previously belonged to the Argynnis Group AB.

The German company Binar Handling GmbH is based in Staufenberg near Giessen and has another branch in Untergruppenbach near Heilbronn - at both locations Lifting solutions and load handling attachments designed, manufactured and distributed.

Lard plans to maintain the Binar Handling brand and continue to grow with it in the markets. CEO is and remains Mattias Lindh, who has been responsible for Binar Handling's business since 2018. With the takeover, the Schmalz Group to around 1,700 employees at 23 locations worldwide.

Special rail system

Binar Handling began developing and manufacturing ergonomic lifting and handling solutions in 1979. The goal: to make lifting processes both easy and safe. The Swedish company and its international subsidiaries have succeeded in achieving this in companies in the automotive industry, aerospace technology and the aerospace industry, among others. industrial production and in the food, pharmaceutical and chemical industries. A special feature is the rail system, on which the lifting devices follow every movement in the X and Y directions with motor support - even over long distances.

With the acquisition of Binar Handling AB, Schmalz will in future offer Solutions for sensitive balancing and handling for applications in battery production or logistics, for example.
