Three collaborative robots from the new CRX series and a Scara SR12IA from Fanuc will be demonstrating a modern automated donut production line. The process demonstrated includes product quality inspection, handling and packaging. The quality inspection includes recognising the degree of browning and checking the donut decor.

ASA, which specialises in turnkey projects, takes on the role of general contractor for the development of the entire production line. The AI quality assurance is provided by Cretec. The customised gripper technology is manufactured by LMD using the 3D sintering process.

The choice to use collaborative robots for this process was made quite deliberately. This is because it demonstrates the constantly growing and forward-looking trend of „robots and humans“ working together.
