Leuze is presenting new products for the packaging industry. A new contrast teaser ensures the identification of markings on packaging. A new through-beam photoelectric sensor, on the other hand, ensures the reliable separation of products.
reliably identify markings on packaging, even if they hardly differ from the background: For this requirement Leuze developed the new KRT18B series of contrast scanners, thereby expanding its Portfolio expanded by ten new variants.
The contrast teasers complement the RGB lighting solutions and thus offer users further application options. They use white light and this technology offers Reliability with glossy surfaces - regardless of the colour of the markings. RGB contrast scanners, on the other hand, detect markings on colour-printed films better. Customers can choose flexibly between the two variants depending on their requirements.

The one-way light barriers are also adapted to the requirements of the packaging industry. Different films are used again and again: these are sometimes more, sometimes less transparent, sometimes dark or even metallised. This places high demands on photoelectric sensors, which must reliably detect the position of the objects in the packaging. The LS25CI through-beam photoelectric sensor masters this challenge. This allows Reliably separate products and seal the film in the right places. The infrared light used here is harmless and safe for the eyes.
System operators can choose between two variants: The LS25CI.XR1 high power shines through dark films, but can also detect individual transparent films. The power of the photoelectric sensor can be easily adjusted using a potentiometer. The LS25CI.XX super power is ideal for even higher requirements: It also shines through metallised and dark-coloured films, even with several layers. The corresponding receiver works with both transmitter variants.

Finally, the company offers manufacturers and operators of machines and systems the new ELC 100 safety light curtains, which are suitable for applications with a range of up to six metres. The light curtains have the essential Properties for securing machine openings and access points to machines or systems. With resolutions of 17 and 30 millimetres, they reliably detect fingers and hands. The protective field extends to the edge of the housing so that no blind zones are created during integration. The devices are available with protective field lengths of 300 to 1,500 millimetres. They are also shock and vibration resistant.
The ELC 100 safety light curtains are quick to install thanks to their 4-pin connection and brackets with swivelling function. The multi-level alignment display is easy to read and allows quick alignment. It is not necessary to configure the devices.
