
Despite supply bottlenecks for raw materials and the resulting price increases, the Raja Group recorded a turnover of 1.2 billion euros in 2021. According to the company, this corresponds to growth of around 20 per cent.
The Raja Group wants to further intensify its commitment to the environment and take on a pioneering role in the area of sustainable packaging. Currently, 60 per cent of the packaging sold is made from cardboard and 80 per cent of the plastic packaging sold is made from recycled and recyclable plastic. The Group has set itself the goal of offering its customers a fully recycled and recyclable range of packaging materials by 2025 to offer.
In 2021, the company introduced several innovations to its product range that are 100 per cent recyclable and represent an alternative to plastic packaging, including a Recycled stretch film and environmentally friendly bubble wrap from recycled materials.
In France Raja At the beginning of 2022 FRET21-initiative - an initiative in which transport companies voluntarily undertake to minimise reduce the impact of transporting their products on the climate - with the ambitious goal of reducing CO2-emissions from transport in France by 28 per cent by the end of 2024.
Growth due to increasing demand in e-commerce
Sales of office equipment and packaging materials increased thanks to booming online trade and the resumption of industrial production strongly. Sales of office supplies and equipment, which had suffered in 2020 due to the health crisis and working from home, also recovered in 2021 with the return to offices.
The sale of warehouse equipment increased with the Renewed demand for transport and storage materials for production facilities and logistics centres increased significantly. Sales of hygiene and care products as well as protective equipment, which had reached record levels during the pandemic in 2020, fell slightly but continued to exceed 2019 sales.
In 2022, the RAJA Group is continuing its strategy of profitable and sustainable growth and has set itself the goal of, a turnover of 1.75 billion euros to achieve.
