Walki Group takes over Westpak and Flexipack

The Walki Group is acquiring the Finnish packaging manufacturers Westpak and Flexipack. The three companies have been working together for years in the production of flexible packaging for food brands in the Scandinavian region.

The Walki Group is acquiring the Finnish packaging manufacturers Westpak and Flexipack. The three companies have been working together for years in the production of flexible packaging for food brands in the Scandinavian region.

In 2021, Flexipack and Westpak together generated sales of Turnover of around 40 million euros. Together they employ around 100 people. Westpak is based in Säkylä, Finland, while Flexipack's production facility is located in Vaasa, Finland.

„With this acquisition, we are continuing our strategy of expanding our range of more sustainable packaging alternatives by utilising our strong material science expertise. Flexipack and Westpak have a highly complementary range of high quality printed products and a proven commitment to dedicated customer service„, says Leif Frilund, President and CEO of the Walki Group.

Flexipack and Westpak will support the further growth of Walki's flexible packaging business and become part of the global Consumer Packaging division. The transaction is subject to approval by the relevant competition authorities. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price or the terms of the transaction.
