Safe, secure and flexible packaging

The automation company Pilz will be presenting its safety and industrial security solutions for primary, secondary and end-of-line packaging. One highlight will be the TÜV Süd-certified solution for safely monitoring the supply of cardboard boxes to packaging machines: Pilz's intelligent automation concepts, which not only make packaging lines safer but also easier to operate, include the so-called safe carton infeed for the secondary packaging sector.

Experts on the stand will provide information about this new flexible and economical security solution from Mushroom, which monitors medium-sized and smaller machines and saves time and costs during planning, project planning and commissioning. Two safety controls are available in the packageThe small controller PNOZmulti 2 for applications where configuration is carried out using a software tool, and the modular safety relay myPNOZ for feed solutions in batch size one.

Another of the company's trade fair focal points will be the simple way in which customised, flexible protection of walk-in doors can be implemented, particularly in the area of end-of-line packaging. The automation specialist will be demonstrating, how effective access authorisation management can be implemented with the modular safety gate system. The focus here is on the PSENmlock door handle module of the safe safety gate sensor PSENmlock. In combination with the PITreader integrated in the PITgatebox push-button unit, it takes over the protection of end-of-line cells.

Another thematic focus is the discussion of the question: „How can digitalisation be used for intelligent packaging 4.0?“ Visitors can also find out all about the „Machinery Directive“ at Pilz.
