At this year's Fachpack, VThe packaging specialist Sealed Air presented a modular packaging station, among other things. In this new development, the company is focussing on automated processes.
The Autobag brand's automated systems, which print and pack at high speed, will be demonstrated on the stand. The systems are offered for industrial and fulfilment applications. They require minimal manpower and are designed to optimise continuous availability and reduce packaging material waste.
Sealed Air will also be presenting its automated system for reducing cavities, the I-Pack. This system automates three important phases of carton packaging - height measurement, folding and sealing - to reduce the size of the packaging and optimise the transport of goods.

Sealed Air supports companies in the automation of packaging processes, which has led to the development of a modular packaging station. This will be presented at this year's Fackpack in Nuremberg. Pavel Kysely, Vice President Sales Central & East Europe at Sealed Air, explains: "Automation is about much more than just efficient systems. It's also about meeting labour requirements to increase productivity while minimising error rates and waste."
"The ergonomic design of the new modular packaging station includes automation through better organisation of the packaging areas so that employees can work even more efficiently. This makes packaging much easier, faster and effortless, which increases employee satisfaction and staff loyalty," continues Kysely.
In addition to the packaging station, Sealed Air will also be presenting its paper packaging systemsThe new QuikWrap Nano and QuikWrap M. Both solutions have been developed to meet the increasing demand from low and medium volume e-commerce retailers and fulfilment companies.
