Lindt and Meissen cooperate for special edition

Chocolate can also be for the eye and not just for the stomach. Porzellanmanufaktur Meissen has therefore designed wrapping paper for a Lindt special edition, drawing inspiration from nature illustrations by Maria Sibylla Merian.

For a special limited edition, the Meissen porcelain manufactory has designed a wrapping paper for Lindt's Hochfein pralinés packaging. With Hochfein, the Lindt Maîtres Chocolatiers present a selection of praline creations that are made with artisanal care and attention to detail. „We are delighted about this Interplay between two masters of their respective craftsmanship. The Meissen porcelain manufactory is the ideal partner for the design of our limited-edition gift packaging,“ says Nadine Lindt, Director of Marketing at Chocoladefabriken Lindt & Sprüngli GmbH.

Mural was the inspiration

The traditional manufacturer exclusively created this packaging design, inspired by a mural after Maria Sibylla Merian. In homage to the chocolate artwork of Lindt Hochfein Pralinés, a pattern of hand-painted large-format cocoa beans, tulips, lilies, pomegranates and figs was created.

The pralines in Meissen gift packaging will be available exclusively in Lindt boutiques and the six Meissen stores from 15 February 2023, and in other food retailers from March 2023. To accompany this, Meissen has produced a limited Lindt edition of its Cosmopolitan porcelain series. The porcelain is handmade in Saxony and painted with the floral Lindt décor.
