From 21 to 23 March 2017, the leading international converting trade fair ICE Europe will present technical innovations and production trends in the field of finishing and processing flexible, web-shaped materials such as paper, film, foil and nonwovens for the tenth time. The CCE International trade fair for the corrugated board and folding carton industry will take place at the same time.
Against the backdrop of the influence of automation and digitalisation, the focus at Messe München is on the Diversification of finishing techniques and the efficient, sustainable processing of high-quality and flexible materials take centre stage.
In 2015, the event attracted around 7,040 trade visitors from 71 countries, a record number. Record result in its success story. This year, more than 400 international exhibitors will present the latest materials, technologies, production solutions and application systems as well as accessories and services from all the main areas and processes of converting: materials, coating/laminating, drying/curing, (pre-)treatment, machine accessories, slitting/rewinding technology, flexo/gravure printing, converting, factory management/waste disposal, retrofits/retreaded systems, contract converting/processing, inspection, measuring & testing systems, software, services and information & communication.
Anniversary awards in four categories
The awarding of the ICE Europe 2017 Awards for Best Practice, Excellence, innovation and extraordinary achievements in the converting industry will be a highlight of the event. As part of an online competition, the organiser will be honouring exhibitors for their innovative products, services or production solutions. In an online vote, the ICE Europe community will select their favourites in the four categories: Industry 4.0, Clean Technologies, Converting Solutions for New Materials and Innovative Partnerships.
CCE for the corrugated board and folding carton industry
The trade fair opens at the same time CCE International in Halls B5 and B6. Visitors to both trade fairs will be able to find out about sustainable packaging trends and creative production solutions along the entire value chain - from raw materials to the entire range of finishing processes. This year's CCE International will present innovative technologies, production systems and the latest solutions for the production and processing of corrugated board and folding cartons, with a special focus on new areas of application such as printing and finishing.
Innovation: Longer opening hours due to high demand
On Tuesday and Wednesday, 21 and 22 March, all trade fair participants will have an extra hour each day. In response to the many requests for longer opening hours expressed in the 2015 trade fair survey, ICE Europe will now open from 9.00 am to 6.00 pm. It will close on Thursday 23 March at 4.00 p.m.[/infotext].
