Inspection expert scanware is exhibiting a range of next-generation optical quality control systems. The centrepiece of the new systems is the Quality Intelligence (QI) software architecture, which is based on artificial intelligence. Its development focussed on sustainability and expandability.

QI has a modular structure so that administrative and inspection-related tasks run in separate areas. The underlying database evaluates learning screens and suggests parameter limits that replace values entered manually by the user, thus minimising sources of error. Thanks to this modularity, several systems can be displayed side by side on the interface and the same system can be displayed on different screens. This saves hardware and reduces downtime.

In addition, a large number of features are available to optimise the Optimise the packaging process and reduce waste. For this purpose, packaging units are inspected before filling. The inspection systems for tubes and bottles on display (CAPA 360 image) belong to this product area. The statistical functions under QI also promote sustainability on site at the packaging line. Filling errors, for example of cups in the blister, are analysed and shifts in the machine feed are compensated for by software.
