Under the motto “New challenges for transport packaging - from export to online trade”, the 6th ISTA European Packaging Symposium will take place from 7 to 9 March 2017 in Valencia, Spain. The event is organised by ISTA (International Safe Transit Association) and ITENE (Instituto Tecnológico del Embalaje, Transporte y Logística) and is supported by DS Smith Tecnicarton as the main sponsor and Sealed Air.
According to the organisers, it is the largest forum on the topic of packaging in Europe. More than 100 experts and managers from the packaging, production, distribution and retail sectors will come together in Valencia. Manufacturers and developers from the fields of data processing and digital and electronic equipment are also expected to attend. The motto of this year's event is „New challenges for transport packaging - from export to online retail“. The objective is to take an in-depth look at the critical link between product and packaging, efficient distribution with a further focus on cost savings, product delivery and fulfilment of sustainability requirements.
International Knowledge Forum
Representatives of leading international companies and organisations will meet at this sixth congress. You can expect various Specialist lectures from Smithers-Pira, PFA - Packaging Forensics Associates, Inc., Rajapack, NVC - Netherlands Packaging Centre, UPS Germany, Tokyo National Museum, Sealed Air, IKEA of Sweden AB, Metropack, DS Smith, Dow Europe GmbH and Hewlett Packard.
