The barrier properties of packaging are important for protecting products, especially those such as food. Camvac is launching Camfoil, a new multi-layer metallised laminate that provides a light, moisture and gas barrier.
Camfoil was developed as alternative to aluminium foil and offers the same functions, but eliminates many of its weaknesses, making this new innovation perfect for a wide range of flexible packaging applications. The material has also been specially developed for its heat-sealing properties - the film is designed to heat-seal through contaminants, making it ideal for Powdered products such as milk and infant formula, protein and whey powder makes. It is also suitable for foods such as peanuts and other snacks that require robust light and gas barriers.
Typical end-user applications for Camfoil are Bags, pouches, bags and lidding films for products as diverse as dry food, dry powder packaging and bulk shipping of oxygen- and moisture-sensitive products - including household cleaning products. Camfoil is known as Triplex laminate with extreme barrier The range is available for further processing and Camvac can supply a printable finished goods laminate with a range of non-woven sealants including PE, PET, CPP and OPP.
