SimpliCycle, a fully recyclable valve for use in dosing closures, stands for sustainability without sacrificing performance. Like other flow control valves we have brought to market over the last 30 years, the SimpliCycle valve provides a Clean and controlled product dispensing throughout the entire service life of the packaging. Brand owners benefit from a fully recyclable closure.

Since its launch in 2022, several brands have already integrated SimpliCycle into their food packaging, particularly for Sauces, spices, honey, spreads and functional drinks. This brings them one step closer to full recyclability of their packaging.

Recycling in Europe

The one from a thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) with low density manufactured valve floats in the recycling stream during processing so that it can be easily separated from the PET stream and then recycled together with the PP/PE olefin stream can be used. When SimpliCycle is incorporated into an Aptar closure, the result is a fully recyclable solution for use with PET, PE or PP containers.

In 2022, SimpliCycle was assessed by third parties such as Cyclos and Recyclass, which confirmed its Compatibility with the sorting and recycling sectors already available in Europe confirmed. In addition, SimpliCycle 2022 received the Critical Guidance Recognition from the Association of Plastic Recyclers (APR) in North America, a recognition that honours technologies or packaging components that aim to solve long-standing problems in sustainable packaging design.

An effective flow control valve ensures an even product flow and a constant flow rate. Reduces unsightly spillages and leaks at the same time during transport and use. The packaging can also be turned upside down so that the product can be removed immediately.
