Paris Packaging Week will take place from 17 to 18 January. The conference programme has now been finalised. More than 100 speakers will be talking about sustainability, design and innovations in packaging.
The organiser of the Paris Packaging Week, Easyfairs, has announced its exciting conference programme for the January 2024 event, which brings together industry experts to provide exclusive insights into the markets for cosmetics, luxury goods, premium beverages and aerosols.
The programme includes more than 100 expert speakers who will be taking part in a conference during Paris Packaging Week on 17 and 18 January at the Paris Expo Portes de Versailles. Numerous lectures, award ceremonies and debates participate. The trade fair will feature a new series of events focussing on the most important challenges in the packaging sector: the Circular Economy Stage, the Future Innovation Forum, the Pentawards Design Stage and the Global Aerosol & Dispensing Summit.
The Circular Economy Stage focuses on everything to do with sustainability and is the venue for several important debates on the upcoming reform of the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) - a hot topic of discussion that will impact virtually every market sector in the future.
„PPWR is the most important issue for cosmetics companies. PPWR, just like the French AGEC law, is an ambitious project that will determine the way cosmetics brands operate. Some packaging will be banned and there are challenges in terms of recyclability, size and so on. I am happy to be part of the discussion on this important topic.“
Stéphanie Lumbers, Director of Sustainable Development at the Fédération des Entreprises de la Beauté (FEBEA)
The Future Innovation Forum is a must for anyone who wants to be inspired by the latest developments in the packaging sector. On the stage Debates and presentations on the latest technologies, material innovations, start-ups and technologies such as artificial intelligence for innovations that provide a real glimpse into the future of packaging innovation.
A particular highlight of this phase is the Future Leaders Panel on Thursday afternoon, where ten inspiring young people from around the world will give insights into their work to reshape the future of packaging.
„What I see in small and large companies is a collective denial of reality and the state of the art. My goal is to make them realise this, change their mindset and make them active instead of passive. Packaging is not dead - it just needs to transform, and it's my job to drive that change.“
Stépane Amarsy, CEO of the technology consultancy The Next Mind
The Pentawards Design Stage focuses on Design, brand and consumer trends for the coming year in a programme curated by the Pentawards, the world's leading packaging design competition and community.
The fourth stage, the Global Aerosol & Dispensing Summit, is organised as part of the ADF Show and brings together key influencers to discuss issues of Sustainability and innovation in the international aerosol sector to discuss. It is organised in cooperation with the FEA, the European Aerosol Association, and offers presentations on regulatory issues and new innovation opportunities, particularly with regard to sustainability.
„Our events aim to provide informative and inspirational talks from world-leading experts and enable everyone involved in the development of packaging to understand the issues and develop the best possible packaging for their products. The talks will provide a real vision of packaging today and in the future, and I can't wait to see them.“
Christelle Anya, Content and Community Director at Paris Packaging Week
Paris Packaging Week consists of four exhibition areas, all taking place simultaneously on the same exhibition space: ADF for the aerosol and dispenser market, PCD for the beauty and personal care sector, PLD for the premium beverage market and Packaging Première for the luxury market.
With further speakers and events still to be announced and a sold-out exhibition space, the 650 exhibitors to Paris, this year's event will be the biggest Paris Packaging Week to date.
