At Anuga FoodTec, the owner-managed mechanical engineering company Grunwald will be showcasing the latest trends and technical developments relating to its format-flexible cup and bucket filling machines, including two rotary-type Grundwald-Rotary cup fillers.
The two rotary-type cup fillers will take centre stage at the trade fair stand. The 3-lane rotary-type Grunwald-Rotary 20.000UC was developed for filling dairy products. With its ultra-clean technology, it fulfils the highest hygiene requirements. Cups in standard cup sizes as well as 1 kg handle buckets can be run. Depending on the product, the production capacity is up to 7,500 cups per hour.
The second filling machine is a 4-lane rotary-type Grunwald-Rotary 20.000E. The „E“ in the name is synonymous with „extra class“ in the development of cup fillers from Grunwald. Here Maximum flexibility on just a few square metres realised. A high-performance cup filler that will find a place in almost any production hall. Depending on the product, square and round cups can be processed at up to 10,000 cups/hour. The machine concept takes into account the filling of liquid to pasty dairy products such as yoghurt and fruit preparations. A mobile chamber pusher filler provides the extension for filling non-pumpable, dry products (cereals and inserts) with a filling volume of 20 - 60 ml. The chamber filler can be easily disconnected from the dock-in station in a few simple steps and cleaned in an external area. The machine concept proves its flexibility in the filling of products with the space for a later retrofit for „swirl“ filling.
Strategic and visionary thinking
Customers' demands for high machine availability, fast format and product changeovers, cost optimisation and practicality as well as the simple operation of such technically sophisticated filling systems remain the focus of the Wangen-based machine manufacturer. In Cologne, the trade fair team will be talking about relevant research and development work that can be expected in 2024. The exact technical implementation and the new machine concepts will be presented during the „Grunwald Dairy Days“ in Wangen in autumn. Five special highlights of the filling technology have already been named.
A UC cup filler will be on show for the first time, the output of which has never before been achieved with rotary-type machines in general: 21,000 individual cups/hour. The system can process both single cups and various multi-chamber cups, and a universal high-performance rotary-type bucket filler in ultraclean design will also be on show. The filling capacity of this single-lane bucket filler is up to 1,200 buckets/h or 7,800 kg/h for 5 or 10 kg buckets.
An 8-lane inline machine with integrated packer in ultraclean design with pack inoculation ≥ LOG 4, dosing in aseptic design and steam sterilisable for various dairy products will be shown from the further development of inline machines. The machine concept also takes ergonomic storage systems into account for packaging materials with a maximum stocking time for user-friendly 1-person operation. The output is up to 20,000 cups/hour.
Two high-performance filling machines with outputs of up to 40,000 cups/h for the precise dosing of various dairy products will also be on show. They have a 2×8-lane design and are equipped with an integrated packer and a packaging material sterilisation system.
