Steriline srl

Steriline is an established European manufacturer that specialises in the production of complete lines for the aseptic processing of injectable products and supplies pharmaceutical companies all over the world.

The company was founded in 1989 in Como (Italy), where the company's headquarters and production facilities are still located today. With offices in over 50 countries around the world, Steriline has a network of more than 220 employees, including direct employees, external partners and 40 local sales representatives. Exports account for more than 90 % of Steriline's turnover, with more than 1,800 machines already installed in Asia, Europe and the USA.

Through its focus on specialisation, state-of-the-art technology and collaborative partnerships, Steriline aims to become one of the preferred manufacturers of aseptic processing equipment for the pharmaceutical industry. The company aims to offer its customers individual, customised and reliable solutions that help them meet the sector's growing demand for improved efficiency, consistent quality and increased safety.

Originally founded as a manufacturer of cleaning machines and depyrogenation tunnels, Steriline launched its first complete product line in 2007, which also included isolators and filling and capping machines. Since then, Steriline has developed into a complete supplier of equipment solutions for the primary packaging of injectable drugs, ranging from complete lines to individual machines.

As a testament to its commitment to research and development and technological innovation, Steriline became an industry pioneer in 2014 with the introduction of the first robotic application for aseptic processing. This robotic application was a ground-breaking solution based on a "zero-loss philosophy" and did not require any format parts.

Steriline currently develops, manufactures and supplies a comprehensive range of solutions that include both mechanical and robotic applications for aseptic processing. These applications can work with vials, ampoules, cartridges and syringes and can be used to process toxic and non-toxic products in both liquid and powder form. Steriline's complete lines include equipment ranging from cleaning machines, depyrogenation tunnels, filling and capping machines to external decontamination machines and barrier systems such as LAF, oRABS, cRABS and isolators.

Robotics will play a key role in the future of the pharmaceutical industry as it continues to define new paradigms for manufacturing. With this in mind, Steriline is currently in the process of greatly expanding its portfolio of robotic solutions to help injectable drug manufacturers meet new global challenges. Steriline's close and proven collaboration with the Fondazione Politecnico di Milano supports its continuous pursuit of technological improvements and its strategic focus on innovation.

Another key advantage is the relationship between Steriline and its customers, which is characterised by regular, open and continuous dialogue at all stages of the product life cycle. Whether a company is looking for a single standard machine or a customised robot line, Steriline can use its creative approach to engineering and advanced project management skills to deliver the most effective solutions for each customer's specific needs.

Steriline not only offers complete planning and project management services, but also supports customers in the development and manufacturing, installation, testing, approval and maintenance phases. In addition, Steriline's team of qualified engineers provides comprehensive customer service, including technical support.

Founded more than 30 years ago, the family business Steriline is still managed by its founder, Gerardo Fumagalli, as CEO, together with Ilaria Fumagalli, Business Operations Director, and Federico Fumagalli, Commercial Director.
