Playmobil is expanding its sustainability strategy and introducing environmentally friendly packaging with the new Playmobil Junior Advent calendar. Instead of plastic inserts, the trays inside the calendar are made from renewable raw materials produced by Papacks.

„The collaboration with Playmobil shows how companies can make a joint contribution to reducing plastic. Our moulded fibre trays are a step towards a sustainable future.“

Tahsin Dag, founder and CEO of Papacks

Since the beginning of the year, Playmobil has biobased plastics for the products in the Junior range, including the individual parts of the Advent calendar. These plastics are based on renewable materials that are by-products of food or paper production. The packaging of the Advent calendar is made from recycled cardboard and the new trays are food-safe, robust and childproof. The Playmobil Junior Advent Calendar „Snow Christmas“ is already available in stores and supports a sustainable and environmentally conscious Advent season.
