Aldi Süd brings cookery boxes to its shops

Quickly cook a meal yourself without having to search for a recipe: That's the promise of the new cooking boxes from Aldi Süd from 24 February.

Quickly cook a meal yourself without having to search for a recipe: That's the promise of the new cooking boxes that Aldi Süd is introducing from 24 February. 

At the launch, customers can choose between three different dishes. The packaging already indicates each Cooking box Information about the preparation time and cooking time. With all the necessary ingredients and a Step-by-step instructions nothing stands in the way of a home-cooked meal.

To make cooking even easier in the future, the discounter is offering a Cooking instructions by video on. This can via the QR code can be called up on the packaging. If the customer scans the code, they can watch an online video of the recipe being prepared.

In the shop, customers will find the Cooking boxes on the fruit & vegetable shelf - to match the fresh contents of the boxes. Exceptions are chilled products such as meat or milk. This eliminates the tedious search for ingredients in the shop. In the Action week From 24 to 28 February 2020, a box costs 3.33 euros, after that 4.49 euros.

Display

The cookery boxes are initially for four months in all shops as part of a trial. At the start of the campaign, the cooking boxes are available for the preparation of green curry with coconut milk, a tomato and pepper soup and lasagne. After that, the dishes will change every month.
