Alpla achieves record turnover of 5.1 billion euros

With a turnover of 5.1 billion euros, the ALPLA Group exceeded the previous year's figure by 27.5 per cent and is focusing on expanding injection moulding capacity, investing in recycling, expanding the pharmaceutical division and researching alternative materials for 2023.

The ALPLA Group can look back on a successful 2022 financial year despite the crisis. Turnover of 5.1 billion euros exceeded the previous year's figure by 27.5 per cent.

In addition to the company's growth strategy, the record turnover reflects the significantly higher costs for energy, materials, personnel and transport. For 2023, the packaging and recycling specialist is focussing, among other things, on Capacity expansions in injection moulding, investments in recycling, the expansion of the pharmaceutical division and research into alternative materials.

ALPLA is continuing its international growth trajectory in 2022, expanding its production capacities, increasing its workforce and reporting a 27.5 per cent increase in turnover. The internationally active specialist for packaging solutions and recycling is thus achieving positive annual result despite massive energy price increases and a shortage of raw materials. Newly opened locations, acquisitions and expansions resulted in more than 1,000 additional employees. The number of plants increased from 177 to 190.

Growth markets, injection moulding and recycling

The company is expected to grow by four to five per cent annually in the long term. ALPLA is therefore planning to double its annual production of recycled material from its own plants by 2026 and supports the development and optimisation of local collection systems worldwide.
