Koenig & Bauer is celebrating the 175th anniversary of its Austrian site this year. International guests came to Maria Enzersdorf for the celebrations and were given an insight into the work on site.
100 national and international guests were welcomed to Maria Enzersdorf for the opening of the celebrations on 14 September, the official ceremony. In addition to speeches by Maria Enzersdorf's mayor DI Johann Zeiner, Koenig & Bauer Dr Andreas Pleßke and the two managing directors of Koenig & Bauer (AT), Rudolf Vogl and Robert Galik, emphasised the economic importance of the company for the district of Mödling as well as for the company - in the past centuries and in the future. In his speech, Dr Andreas Pleßke praised in particular the innovative strength that has always emanated from the Austrian location: „Successful cooperation with our international companies and locations is an important pillar of the Koenig & Bauer Group. On 15 September, a staff party was held to look back on the joint successes of recent years and decades. The grand finale was the open day on 16 September. Over 1,200 visitors were welcomed. A colourful audience of business partners, people from the surrounding area and print enthusiasts were given an insight into the company at various stations.
