Automatic picking with KHT

At LogiMat, KHT will be presenting warehouse robots for fully automated order picking and new master data software.

Machine manufacturer KHT is presenting a new product at LogiMat. In addition to warehouse robots for the fully automated picking of small parts, the company will be presenting new master data software.

At this year's LogiMat, the KHT presented the latest version of the Indu-Store storage system. The storage robot handles goods weighing up to five kilograms, which it recognises using the integrated Auto-ID technology and stores independently via a conveyor system. The The system continuously reallocates areas dynamically and in a space-optimising manner.

„Digital and automated production and warehouse processes as well as efficient data management are important prerequisites for Industry 4.0. With intralogistics solutions from KHT, the step into the networked working world of tomorrow is a success.“

Christina Bahlmann, Management of Kommissionier- und Handhabungstechnik GmbH (KHT)

The MultiScan will also be on site. The 3D master data acquisition system registers the dimensions, volume and weight of the scanned items. The infrared light grid, the integrated scales and special accessories such as a camera or a digital caliper gauge make this possible, to record articles with an accuracy of 0.1 millimetre. The CartonScan for recording consignment data will also be on show. The system, which is specially designed for cuboid goods, uses ultrasound to measure all the necessary article dimensions and weight.

The self-learning software solution KiSoft Genomix, in combination with the MultiScan, records not only Dimensions and weight also article attributes such as packaging type, centre of gravity or tipping behaviour. „The data is available along the entire supply chain and across warehouses and provides precisely the information required for efficient logistics processes,“ explains Bahlmann. The AI-supported software adapts to the degree of automation of the respective technology and can therefore also improve the performance of existing automation systems.
