At Anuga FoodTec, Westfalia Logistics will be demonstrating how the automation of warehouse logistics along the entire production and supply chain can create greater efficiency, sustainability and customer satisfaction.
As stock, procurement and production warehouses, storage systems compensate for fluctuations in demand; as interim storage and buffers along production and filling lines, they enable flexible production for orders that are delayed and thus minimising expensive set-up times. And as distribution and transshipment warehouses with automated order picking and route provision, they ensure that goods are dispatched on time.
At the trade fair, experts from the Westphalian company will explain what type of storage companies need: This can be a warehouse with individual storage spaces or two pallet spaces per storage compartment in a row This can be useful when a high access frequency is required, for example in the case of tightly synchronised storage periods or a high variety of types.
