More automation with revised software

With the revision of the ZCC Zünd Cut Centre operating software, Zünd offers customers options for automated job preparation.

With its revised version of the ZCC Zünd Cut Centre operating software, Zünd provides customers with additional options for automated job preparation and efficient cutting.

The new ZCC Ignition Cut Centre supports the operator with intuitive, intelligent functions that are integrated throughout the entire digital cutting production workflow. This makes the Cut Centre the Software suite for quick and easy entry into digital cutting and offers significant improvements in the automation of order preparation and production for experienced users.

Thanks to its client-server architecture, Zünd Cut Centre is flexibly scalable. This Modularity in the software enables configurations tailored to specific production requirements. Users purchase the software components they need, no more and no less. And they can add further options at any time.

Version for different purposes

Zünd offers the ZCC in two different editions. Zünd Cut Center Basic is ideal for anyone whose production environment does not require functions such as automatic data import, a job list or data exchange with other systems. With ZCC Zünd Cut Center Basic, the operator can manually convert source files into .zcc files using the Cut Editor and open them as production files in the Cut Centre.

ZCC Zünd Cut Centre Advanced is the right edition for all Users with a higher order volume and the desire to increase productivity through automated processes. You are using several Zünd cutters in parallel and want to integrate other production systems into the workflow for data exchange. The Advanced Edition provides the user with functions such as the job list, information on the estimated production time, import via hotfolder or e-mail notifications.

Many components

The central software component of every ZCC Software Suite is the Cut Editor. The Cut Editor is used to Source files imported and prepared for subsequent cutting. The Cut Editor is operated directly at the cutter via the control panel. However, the Cut Editor can also be installed at workstations in the pre-press department and used there for production preparation.

The Cut Server is designed for the Automated data import via hotfolder, The Zünd Cut Server is also responsible for data exchange with other systems such as ERP or RIP and for calculating the estimated production time. Communication between Cut Editor and Cut Centre also runs via the Zünd Cut Server. Other systems can connect to the Zünd Cut Server using the .zcc format. ZCC is open to almost any import format. This connectivity offers the user flexibility and interoperability.

Further developments at ZCC

The new Zünd Cut Centre scores with its intuitive user guidance and simple operation via a touch display. A clear user interface guides the operator through job preparation and cutter control. The option of automatic import means that manual input can be significantly reduced.

Processing parameters stored in the material database for countless materials and predefined import settings ensure a high degree of standardisation. ZCC sorts orders according to material, processing method or delivery time. In the case of printed materials, orders are entered automatically via printed QR codes. Alternatively, the order sequence for unprinted materials can be defined using the batch processing function.

The new option of being able to cut different jobs simultaneously on one Zünd cutter also provides an additional productivity boost. Data import into ZCC has been further developed and data handling has been largely automated. The assignment of processing methods, cutting contour optimisation, metadata, material, etc. is carried out via hot folders.

ZCC Zünd Cut Center is offered as a perpetual licence with included software maintenance. Software maintenance not only ensures the maintenance and operability of the software, customers also receive all new options and functions that Zünd brings to the market for ZCC. This includes small bug fix versions as well as extensive software updates. New options can be added without having to purchase the latest ZCC software version first. Customers no longer have to worry about buying software upgrades to keep their Zünd Cut Centre up to date.
