An unbeatable duo: Turbox 2300 and Powerpacker

Stacked flat cardboard blanks made of paper at Klingele

Just in time for the 100th anniversary of the Klingele Paper & Packaging Group, Bahmüller installed the new Turbox 2300 folding carton production line with Powerpacker Automation at the Klingele plant in Werne in January 2020. The complete production line was installed and commissioned in just two weeks.

The Turbox is equipped with the latest Quality assurance tools DFS and glue application monitoring. This means that Klingele now has extensive options to get even closer to "zero defect delivery". Faulty packaging is recognised and automatically ejected from the production process via the Unique Eject unit.

Turbox significantly reduces set-up times

The optimised set-up concept allows a reduction in set-up times to an absolute minimum. Compared to existing systems, set-up times on the complex, highly automated Turbox 2300 have been significantly reduced.

The optional relative adjustment of the folding bridges enables the Production of trapezoids and special packaging. The bridge adjustment can be motorised on request and is easy and convenient to set via the 15'' HMI. The axis values are stored in a new generation of controls and are simply read in for repeat jobs.

Gentle and efficient banding

With the downstream Powerpacker Automation and the fully integrated ATS banding unit This enables gentle and efficient packaging, which further increases the performance figures of the system. Optional accessories can even be used to automatically run folding cartons below the specified minimum dimensions.

For the Klingele Paper & Packaging Group in Werne, the decision to invest in a complete line with Powerpacker and automatic palletising system was the right one. Previously unattainable production figures can be achieved with minimal operating capacity.

Bahmüller trains Klingele team

The Bahmüller system is equipped in the outlet area with a MuK palletising system and an automatic pallet stretch wrapper from Mosca equipped. The U-shaped installation ensures short distances and efficient utilisation of space. The Klingele team was able to go into 2-shift operation after just two weeks of training by Bahmüller process engineers.
