BBull Technology from Königsbach-Stein has come up with a new solution to regular customer complaints about screw caps that are too tight or that are slanted and therefore leaky: Image APA FQM enables permanent quality control of the cap and fill quantity.
What was previously randomly checked in the laboratory is now being inline or in the bypass automatically. A special camera is used for this purpose, which recognises the closure angle of each test specimen to determine the torque and any leaks.
From the lab to the line
In addition, the filling quantity can be professionally measured in a bypass solution using a calibrated scale. Together with the BBull Image software, the fault is immediately visualised and assigned to the corresponding closure head or filling valve. Directly at the „point of interest“ a Permanent real-time quality control with documentation - and not hours later in the laboratory.
The company will also be showcasing the new „MAS“ inspection system (acoustic detection of missing internal pressure in closed glass bottles) and „PULSE“ (flexible containers are inspected using „kinetic“ measurement, outgassing containers are detected during the packaging process) as well as the latest generation of the Empties detection.
