BDE and IK organise joint trade fair appearance

At this year's IFAT in Munich, the BDE's special area is being organised under the motto „Top precious to waste - Too good to throw away“. The association and the Industrievereinigung Kunststoffverpackung are jointly realising the area.

At this year's IFAT in Munich, the special area of the BDE Federal Association of the German Waste, Water and Raw Materials Management Industry is being organised under the motto „Top precious to waste - Too good to throw away“. The association has now been able to gain the Industrievereinigung Kunststoffverpackung as a partner for the realisation.

At the world's leading trade fair for environmental and recycling technology, a specially designed Special area of the plastic material flow and comprehensive information on the material and examples of how to close the loop with this material take centre stage. To illustrate the versatility of the material and its various processing options, the BDE has found a strong industrial partner in the Industrievereinigung Kunststoffverpackungen. The two associations are jointly organising the trade fair stand.

Closing the plastic loop

On the more than 200 m2 large exhibition area in Hall A6, a total of sixteen companies from the waste disposal and recycling sector, as well as producers from the plastics industry present and showcase their examples of closed-loop processing for this material. To this end, they want to showcase their processes and products with experts and potential customers at a specially set up „workbench“

A comprehensive supporting programme will round off the joint trade fair appearance at the special area in an interesting and informative way. All companies want to present themselves with Specialist presentations, panels and discussion rounds on all aspects of plastics participate in the programme. The companies are also planning to explain production steps and processes in more detail in presentations and discussions.

„Our alliance with the Industrievereinigung Kunststoffverpackungen and its member companies at the IFAT Munich 2022, the role of the individual stakeholders in a Present a functioning material cycle using examples of best practice that already work. I would like to thank our partner IK and its member companies for tackling the special plastics area project with us. The joint trade fair appearance is also an important step for IFAT Munich, because this special area is an example of the further development of the world's leading trade fair for environmental and recycling technologies into a modern industrial trade fair. I am sure that the special area for plastics at IFAT Munich 2022 will meet with a similar response as our special area for aluminium at the last IFAT.“
