At interpack 2023, the closure specialist Bericap will be presenting its portfolio of products for the industrial, food and beverage sectors. Visitors are invited to the trade fair stand under the motto "Welcome to Captown".

Safety for the environment and health plays a central role in the "Industrial District". For the agricultural sector, for example, Bericap is presenting two close transfer systems (CTS). These are closed-loop dosing systems for crop protection products that prevent users or the outside world from unintentionally coming into direct or indirect contact with the product. Another focus is on conserving resources with the new lightweight modelsFor example, the new closure range for DIN plastic containers: the standard sizes DIN 45, DIN 55 and DIN 60 are now available in a 30 per cent lighter version. Like all closures for the industrial sector, these can be made from up to 50 per cent recycled PCR material.

In the "Beverage Hills", the focus is on tethered caps. The caps are connected to the bottle so that they can be recycled together with the plastic and will be mandatory in Europe from mid-2024 for single-use beverage packaging with a capacity of up to three litres. This march towards environmental protection is easily possible with the ClipAside Tethered Caps from Bericap. The advantage of the packaging solution is that manufacturers and bottlers can also process closures with the conventional tamper-evident band on their filling lines without any further adjustments and are therefore highly flexible.

Welcome to "Captown"

The new HC SK 31/19 capping system for ketchup, mayonnaise or honey is available in the "Foodville" area: The particularly lightweight closure has a large opening angle of up to 180 degrees and guarantees precise, drip-free dispensing thanks to a variety of possible opening geometries. Like the other Bericap solutions, the HC SK 31/19 is "made for recycling" and is also optionally available with a silicone-free valve closure made of thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) so that the recycling process is not contaminated with silicone.

"At this year's Interpack, we are taking trade fair visitors on the Journey through the portfolio of our user- and environmentally friendly closure solutions," says Thomas Schmidt, Group Marketing Director at Bericap. "From the Industrial District to Beverage Hills and Foodville, we will be providing information about highlights and new developments that we are driving forward in close collaboration with our customers, to fulfil the requirements for safety, handling, sustainability and individual design. Welcome to Captown!"
