The new Pure Supreme is the latest in a series of new products developed by the BillerudKorsnäs KM7 can be produced. The technologies used in the KM7 have made it possible to combine several relevant product properties: Printability, strength, stiffness, appearance, consistency and purity. Like all of the Swedish company's products, Pure Supreme is made from 100% pure primary wood fibres that come from responsibly managed forests. Due to the high capacity of KM7 - 550,000 tonnes per year are possible - worldwide availability is high.
Combination of strength and appearance
BillerudKorsnäs Pure Supreme is aimed at a target group that requires high-performance packaging. Primary wood fibres in a three-layer structure make Pure Supreme strong and minimise the risk of washboarding. A centre ply made of CTMP and kraft pulp provides volume, stiffness and stability to ensure high runnability.
„The combination of strength and appearance is unique in this product. Normally, a customer has to decide in favour of one or the other product property. But with Pure Supreme, we can offer both. And thanks to its strength, Pure Supreme offers great opportunities for weight reduction. Less packaging weight saves costs and reduces the environmental footprint.“ Rolf Gustafsson, Senior Director Product Management Containerboard at BillerudKorsnäs
