Heuft and Nikka Densok present a joint solution for full packaging and pharmaceutical safety in the blow-fill-seal process.

When it comes to the optical quality inspection of each individual primary packaging material, the German Heuft Systemtechnik GmbH already has 45 years of expertise. The same applies to Nikka Densok Ltd. from Japan, the pioneer in high-voltage leak testing. In order to be able to offer inline quality testing of Blow-Fill-Seal ampoules To realise both, these two leading providers have now pooled their expertise:

The new combination of Heuft spotter II BFSA and the Pinhole Inspector of the HDI series from Nikka Densok will be exhibited for the first time at Achema. It enables what Annex 1 of the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) has stipulated since August 2023: a 100 per cent container closure integrity testing (CCIT) of each individual ampoule card. From foreign particles in the ampoule to deformed closures, black spots and inclusions to damage and cracks, everything that jeopardises packaging and drug safety in the blow-fill-seal process of liquid preparations such as small volume parenteral (SVP) or eye drops is detected.

Visually identifiable defects are found during the full coverage inspection of the bundled ampoule strips using Heuft technology. The Pinhole Inspector from Nikka Densok takes over the Reliable detection of microleaks.
