Pallet manufacturer Cabka has introduced a new generation of plastic pallets. Made from recycled plastic, the pallets have been specially designed for use in the chemical industry.

Cabka has a wide range of pallets for the chemical industry in various designs, sizes and specifications. "We have improved the design for the next generation of Eco CP3 and Eco CP9 pallets. With input from the world's leading chemical companies, we have made these sustainable load carriers safer and more reliable than existing solutions on the market," says Jean-Marc van Maren, Chief Product Officer at Cabka.

Plastic instead of wood

Plastic pallets have many advantages: they are extremely dimensionally stable and have a long service life. Shrinkage or breakage do not play a role here. Precise dimensions and shapes ensure a high level of process reliability and enable precise adaptation to automated storage and conveyor technology. Their low weight relieves employees from manual handling and saves costs and CO2 during transport. The robust and pollutant-free surfaces are easy to clean and fulfil the highest hygiene standards. Nestable pallets also reduce space requirements and storage costs. Users therefore benefit from numerous functional and economic advantages.

The Eco CP3 and CP9 pallets are the same as the standard CP3 and CP9 pallets, but offer numerous advantages for users as they are made from recycled plastic rather than wood. The company largely uses recycled plastics for its transport solutions and the products can be recycled several times. The load carriers offer consistent dimensions, are impact-resistant and help to reduce downtime in automated storage and transport systems. The pallets also carry loads safely in high racks.

The Eco CP3 and Eco CP9 plastic pallets are very light and robust. The CP3 is a three-skid pallet made from recycled polyolefin with dimensions of 1,140 x 1,140 millimetres, a height of 150 millimetres and a weight of around 12.5 kilograms. The pallet is designed for a dynamic load of 1,400 kilograms. With a weight of 14 kilograms, the CP9 has a similar structure to the CP3. With its five runners, this pallet is even more stable than the CP3. Its design makes it particularly suitable for block stacking, as the support frame optimally distributes the weight to the load underneath.
