
After a twelve-month consultation phase, the CEPI Cartonboard and Pro Carton associations have decided to merge under the name Pro Carton.
The formal merger is expected to take place in 2024 after all legal procedures have been successfully completed. The decision was made at the annual general meeting of the associations on 16 June 2023 in Brussels. The merger is intended to Create more effective and efficient representation with a stronger voice in and for the entire cartonboard and folding carton industry.
This includes several new work areas that are dedicated to the Promoting synergies, improving external representation and supporting member organisations will dedicate themselves to.
Michele Bianchi, CEO of the RDM Group, takes over the position of President of Per Carton continue. Neil Fox from Metsä Board is appointed Vice President. Horst Bittermann will remain at the helm of Pro Carton and will lead the transformation and merger of the two associations in the role of Directeur General. Winfried Mühling will retain responsibility as Director of Marketing and Communications.
