With its own artificial intelligence (AI) for X-ray image processing in the inspection of foreign bodies in the filling and packaging process of inhomogeneous foodstuffs, Heuft makes visible what previously remained invisible: still a vision of the future at interpack 2023, ready for series production at Anuga FoodTec 2024.

And the first installations and start-ups are already underway in time for Fachpack: Heuft reflexx A.I., the proprietary AI for smart X-ray image processing, which is constantly being further developed within the company, gets to the bottom of dangerous foreign bodies. This means that they are now also visible in places where this was previously difficult or impossible. The demand from major food manufacturers for the latest release of food inspection systems equipped with this technology is correspondingly high. Foreign object detectors of the Heuft eXaminer II series.

In Nuremberg, there will be a live demonstration of how Deep Detecting with Heuft reflexx A.I. the recognition accuracy is sustainably increased - and therefore also consumer and brand protection. The new AI makes the previously invisible visible and identifies glass splinters, metal fragments and other foreign objects in food and packaging materials where this was previously not possible: in inhomogeneous products with highly absorbent structures and cavities between their components, the AI from our own development and production shows what it is capable of, and finds dangerous foreign bodies for the first time, even under such difficult environmental conditions. Even when these are no longer visible to the naked eye or are extremely difficult to distinguish in shape and size from non-critical product elements and structures.
