Design-Print-Cut on demand

The manufacturer of inkjet printing and cutting technologies, Mimaki Germany, is putting its digital printing solutions centre stage. Digital data creation allows production to be realised according to demand. This is because many companies are now able to order quantities starting at one piece. This not only leads to an expansion of the product portfolio, but also to savings in material and storage space.

As the printing method is based on UV LED technology, the LED lamps used consume significantly less electricity than mercury vapour lamps. The low temperature (around 30 degrees) supports the Direct printing on various materials, without deforming or even damaging them.

At the stand, interested visitors will be able to see a flatbed cutting plotter, a UV LED flatbed printer with the new glossy function and a hybrid cutting plotter for roll and sheet media, as well as various machines in action:

The JFX200-2513EX UV LED flatbed printer with a maximum print area of 2,500 x 1,300 millimetres prints directly onto cardboard packaging with different data using CMYK, clear varnish and white. The print file is customised using packQ from CloudLab, a 3D packaging editor. Further data preparation is carried out by the Mimaki RIP software RasterLink 7, which also has functions such as the simple creation of variable data with different numbers, names or photos.

The CJV330-160 roll to roll printer with integrated cutting function is a All-rounder for label printing and cutting. The Print & Cut machine (image) has a maximum print width of 1,610 millimetres. The new XY cutter can also cut the print in the x and y directions and, for example, remove two posters placed next to each other from the roll directly after printing.
