The two international trade fairs for the beverage and liquid food industry are joining forces to strengthen their position on the global market: drinktec from Munich and BrauBeviale from Nuremberg have merged to form the joint venture „Yontex“ as of 1 July 2023.
The company will be based in Nuremberg and the new Managing Director will be Rolf M. Keller, until now Head of Division at NürnbergMesse. Both trade fairs will remain independent brands, retain their names and remain as events at their respective locations in Munich and Nuremberg - under the joint umbrella of Yontex. This makes the Free State of Bavaria a regulars' table for the global beverage industry and creates synergies and real added value for its trade fair customers.
The merger of the drinktec and BrauBeviale trade fairs into one company is the largest merger of two trade fair flagships in Germany to date, which ideally complement each other in terms of content. Both trade fairs can continue their individual growth unhindered, increase their national and international reach in terms of customer contacts and pool their resources for the benefit of their exhibitors and visitors.

The Federal Cartel Office has already agreed to this cooperation in the field of beverage technology trade fairs.
With the BrauBeviale From 28 to 30 November 2023 in Nuremberg, the new company Yontex will present itself for the first time. The respective rotation of the trade fairs remains unchangedThe drinktec will continue to take place every four years at the Munich Exhibition Centre with the next date in 2025, and BrauBeviale will continue to be held annually at the Nuremberg Exhibition Centre - with the exception of the „drinktec years“.
A 19-strong team of experienced drinktec, BrauBeviale and new trade fair people will be the brains behind Yontex in future. In addition to Managing Director Rolf M. Keller, Petra Westphal, previously Project Manager of drinktec and its foreign trade fairs, will join the top management team as Executive Vice President, Andrea Kalrait as Executive Director BrauBeviale, Markus Kosak as Executive Director drinktec Cluster and Moritz Müller as Executive Director Operations.
