Melior Motion has been part of the Schaeffler Group since February 2022. The drive technology manufacturer will be presenting its PSC gearboxes at the Group's stand. With the high-precision and durable drive solutions, a patented spring mechanism ensures minimal backlash for life and therefore qualifies the precision gearboxes for various automation and robotics applications.
The compact precision gearboxes are Particularly suitable for applications where space is limited is. Their design elements make them unique on the market: firstly, the patented spring mechanism, but also a conically toothed planetary stage and a helical toothed input stage. Compared to cycloidal gears, the drive solutions from Melior Motion are up to ten times more accurate with a backlash of ≤ 0.1 angular minutes and a lost motion of ≤ 0.6 angular minutes. The spring mechanism ensures that the precision is maintained for at least 20,000 hours of operation. The conically toothed planetary stage also contributes significantly to the high precision, as the teeth mesh without backlash. In combination with the helical-toothed input stage, it makes the gearboxes particularly quiet and low-vibration. Visitors can see the special features of the drive solutions for themselves on the gearbox models.
