The dvi has two personnel announcements to make these days. Firstly, Roman Billiani has taken over from Andreas Blasche and secondly, Thomas Reiner has been appointed Honorary President.

Roman Billiani takes over the dvi board seat from Andreas Blaschke, who resigned after 21 years on the MM Group board and also ended his board activities for the dvi at the same time.

„Roman Billiani is a real asset for the German Packaging Institute,“ says dvi Chairman Wolf-Dieter Baumann, welcoming his new colleague to the Board. „With his expertise and many years of experience in the field of fibre-based packaging materials and packaging, Roman Billiani is the perfect addition to our Executive Board. He will help us to take the dvi a step forward once again and develop it further in the interests of our member companies. I am very much looking forward to working with him,“ says Baumann.

Thomas Reiner new honorary president of the dvi

At the 18th German Packaging Congress on 30 March, the dvi appointed its long-standing Chairman of the Board and CEO of the Berndt+Partner Group, Thomas Reiner, as Honorary President in front of around 230 managers and executives from the industry.

Wolf-Dieter Baumann honoured the achievements of his predecessor, who served on the dvi Board from 1990 to 2018 and was Chairman from 2006 to 2018. „During this time, you doubled the number of members and had a lasting impact on the dvi. Numerous initiatives, forums and event formats can be attributed to you. Through your work, you have preserved the legacy of dvi founder Prof Dieter Berndt and ensured that the dvi is well positioned for further development„, said Baumann in his laudatory speech.
