Syntegon has now been awarded silver in the EcoVadis sustainability rating, placing it in the top 25 per cent of companies with over 1,000 employees assessed by the rating agency.
In the course of a sustainability rating by EcoVadis Syntegon achieved silver status. The rating agency has thus recognised the sustainability successes of the specialists for process and packaging technology. For the assessment, EcoVadis 21 sustainability criteria in the four areas of environment, labour and human rights, business ethics and sustainable procurement tested. Compared to the previous year, in which Syntegon was awarded bronze status, the company was able to improve by more than 20 percentage points in all areas. This puts Syntegon in the top 25 per cent of companies with over 1,000 employees assessed by EcoVadis. Among mechanical engineering companies, Syntegon is even in the top 16 per cent.

EcoVadis is the world's largest provider of sustainability ratings for companies with a network of more than 90,000 rated companies. As part of its assessment, Ecovadis examines the extent to which the principles of sustainability are integrated into the respective business and management systems. The methodology is based on leading standards such as GRI, UNGC and ISO 26000 and is monitored by an international scientific committee. EcoVadis uses the applicable guidelines, measures and results of a company as well as contributions from external experts and interest groups for the assessment.
