The Edelmann Group has won several prizes and awards for its sustainable and customised packaging concepts in 2022. Most recently, the Group received the „Packaging Printer of the Year 2022“ award at the Druck & Medien Awards in Berlin.
The Print & Media Awards ceremony took place in Berlin on the evening of 10 November 2022. The Edelmann Group was honoured as „Packaging Printer of the Year 2022“. This prize was awarded by Paradowski, Grafische Maschinen Handelsgesellschaft mbH & Co. KG.
The jury has chosen the Innovative and sustainable portfolio which was conveyed by the packaging concepts of the following projects: A whisky packaging (digital finishing) from Gold Ochsen, a tea packaging „Teays“ (Feedstock with 40 per cent grass content) from Bad Heilbrunner and the packaging concept for „Eco Refill“ („Less is More“), the Nivea brand, from Beiersdorf. Award-winning year
In addition to the Print & Media Award, the company was delighted to receive further prizes this year. The series of awards began with the ADF Innovations Awards in the Personal Care category for the packaging concept of the „Eco Refill“ product from Beiersdorf's Nivea brand. This packaging concept emphasises the sustainable dispenser, the tablet in a free-flowing package and the form of delivery, without liquid at the POS. The jury was also impressed by the fact that resources were saved right from the start, e.g. in the use of materials.
At Fachpack, two products were honoured with the „German Packaging Award“ award. The „PopArt“ ampoule packaging from Dr Grandel was honoured in the Design and Refinement category. The jury found the Sustainable, recyclable digital finishing. This finishing process is unique in the European packaging market. The gigasept PowerTrio disinfectant dispenser packaging for hospitals was honoured in the functionality and convenience category for the customer Schülke + Mayer GmbH.
The Edelmann Group was honoured by Dentsply Sirona for its outstanding performance as a supplier and partner with the DS Supplier Award 2022 honoured. Various aspects were evaluated among a large number of suppliers: in addition to quality and delivery performance, it is important for Dentsply Sirona to have a development partner with packaging experience at its side.
Edelmann Hungary was honoured at the Vssion packaging competition HUNGAROPACK 2022 in the „Sustainability“ category for a new fragrance packaging for „AirWick“ from Reckitt Benckiser was honoured. The group has succeeded in developing and producing an alternative packaging to plastic made from cardboard.
Edelmann Packaging India was awarded the IFCA Star Award 2022 for outstanding achievements in the area of „Recyclable Innovation“ for the Himalayan Whitening Complete toothpaste packaging, honoured. The IFCA presents annual awards to its members to recognise outstanding achievements in creativity, design, development and innovation in the packaging sector. For 2022, more than 130 members were invited to submit their ground-breaking work in various categories. This award recognises outstanding achievements in India.
The „PopArt“ ampoule packaging from Dr Grandel was also recognised this year by European Carton Excellence Award - Gold 2022 honoured. The jury liked the digital, sustainable finishing, which skilfully and colourfully showcases the ampoules and thus attracts the attention of the end consumer at the POS. Another highlight of the awards is the Supplier Award from P&G for the Edelmann Group site in Mexico.
