In June, Empack will turn the Schnelsen exhibition centre in Hamburg into a hotspot for the northern German packaging industry. For two days, the focus in the Hanseatic city will be on smart packaging and sustainability. Preparations are already in full swing.

Empack is a permanent fixture in the intralogistics and packaging technology trade fair landscape. As a regional trade fair, it addresses the entire packaging industry and highlights the two current top trends: smart packaging and sustainability. Together with Logistics & Automation, which takes place at the same time, the trade fair from 14 to 15 June 2023 offers a compact overall picture of the processes at the end of the production chain.

There is a need for discussion among companies that pack, wrap and bottle products. What will the packaging of the future look like? Which materials have the best CO2-balance and the highest level of acceptance among consumers and customers? How will reusable systems develop, what are legislators planning, what new materials are available and what innovations are currently being offered by packaging machinery?

Exhibitors cover a wide range

These and many other questions about the state of the art in (packaging) technology will be discussed and answered at Empack. The industry trade fair will take place from 14 to 15 June 2023 in the north of Germany - in the Schnelsen exhibition hall in Hamburg. Current topics such as smart packaging and sustainability will be discussed at the event. Project manager Maria Soloveva: „The framework conditions for the packaging of industrial and consumer goods are changing rapidly. Packaging is taking on additional functions, and recyclability or reusability is coming to the fore. Different materials and concepts are in competition with each other. At Empack, trade visitors will receive an ‚update‘ on the state of the art, talk to experts and get to know the exhibitors“ innovations."

Display

The exhibitors in the Schnelsen exhibition hall cover a wide range of products. Some examples: Bluhm Systems develops and manufactures innovative labelling systems, Ellerhold produces labels and displays at six locations. With Herma another labelling and marking specialist is represented, while Billet cardboard boxes and packaging material. Romwell develops customised packaging solutions and offers both the materials and the machines (from its own production) for this.
