End-of-line packaging machine equipped for „transition“

With its flexible machines for carton packaging, the end-of-line packaging machine manufacturer Somic considers itself well equipped for this year's trade fair motto:

„Change is always an issue in the consumer world, whether it's sustainable cartons or a larger number of packs bundled in one carton: „We are well prepared for this,“ explains Managing Director Patrick Bonetsmüller. The tray packers, wrap-around packers and solutions for multi-part packaging offer plenty of scope for conversions. Format changes in carton cutting can also be implemented by the after-sales team after installation at the customer's premises. In addition, the digital exchange has been consistently strengthened: „Our digital factory acceptance test is a clear plus. In times when travel restrictions cannot be ruled out, we can use our latest virtual technology to comprehensively test the machine together with the customer before delivery.“ The company shows a Somic-424-DT machine, on which boxes of chocolates are packed in various groupings in transport cartons. Visitors can also follow the format changeover live on the stand.
