Etimex Primary Packaging GmbH has produced sustainable and 100 per cent recyclable packaging for its Spanish customer Laboratorios Almond. The Dietenheim-based company developed a range of containers made of white PP/EVOH/PP, which were manufactured using extrusion and thermoforming processes.
As a particular product advantage of the packaging Etimex emphasises that the preservation of the product is guaranteed from the time of bottling to final consumption under optimum storage conditions and refrigeration. The multilayer film also offers a good Barrier function against moisture, oxygen and UV rays. The base material is resistant to thermal processes, such as those that occur during hot filling.

Rough surface with a pleasant feel
The film and container specialist is also highlighting the 480-millilitre container, which features a APET lid is provided. This allows the end user to close the container again after opening it for the first time. Etimex describes the tactile properties of the container's rough surface as pleasant.
For thermoformed cups, the products for Laboratorios Almond relatively high in relation to the diameter. However, the stability of the container is ensured by optimising the material distribution. The packaging is designed in such a way that it can be stacked easily. The cups are also sealed with a peel film.
