According to many companies, sustainability is now part of their core business - but this cannot always be transparently verified. However, packaging producer Etimex has now published a sustainability report that provides insights into its own sustainability efforts.
The company already obtains 65 per cent of its energy requirements from green electricity sources. Nature is also used for cooling: Etimex has been able to save a good 8.5 million kilowatt hours by using groundwater that is already cool. In total, the company states that these and other measures will save 706 tonnes of CO2 to have saved.
However, Etimex is not only concerned about the cycle and low CO2-emissions, for example with the monomaterial solution PP Mono. As the name suggests, the monoblisters are made entirely from polypropylene and are much easier to recycle than a comparable composite product. The German Packaging Award was already presented for this in 2021.
The full sustainability report can be found on the company website.
